About the Owner: Liz
Liz Eleanor Day, Ed.D., is the CEO and Owner of Beauty in the Scars Corporation, DBA BITS Cleaning. Liz has a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Salisbury University, a Masters in Educational Leadership from Salisbury University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Liz was a 3-sport athlete at Salisbury University. She was a National Champion in Field hockey in 2009, in 2010 was a conference champion in Track and Field University. Liz was also selected as the NCAA Division III conference representative for the Capital Athletic Conference.
She understands what hard work is and knows what it requires to be successful from her years of athletics and hard work in the classroom. Liz loves the Lord, serving in her church, and spending time with her two children, Lilly and Olivia. Her desire is to help those who are misunderstood, need a second chance, and job security to be a productive citizen in society. She particularly desires to help women who are overcoming issues of shame, transitioning from jail, and need encouragement and coaching to keep going with a plan.
What does BITS stand for?
Beauty in the Scars. The Beauty in the Scars Corporation, doing business as BITS Cleaning, was founded in September 2021 by Liz Day, Ed.D. The overarching goal of the business is to focus on philanthropic outcomes for a specific underserved community of women.
